The Maple health centre yard needs a skate park - Cora's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Columbus are raising $3,800 for a skate park at the Maple health centre yard.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,800.
It will serve about 524 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Materials: $2,700
• Permits and inspections: $210
• Safety equipment and signage: $430
• Tools hire and delivery: $460
