The Lotus vacant lot needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Swapna's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a sensory garden for children with autism - we need $150 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $140, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 89 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $150 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Permits and inspections: $25
Thank you so much.
