The Jacaranda vacant lot needs a community fridge - Nisha's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 99 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $350 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $70 • Materials: $230 Every share and every dollar helps.
