For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 422 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $135 • Tools hire and delivery: $40 • Permits and inspections: $75 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Bethlehem
