The Hashemi family fled Venezuela - help them rebuild in Kisumu
The Hashemi family are rebuilding in Kisumu after leaving Venezuela; your gift pays for housing basics.

My family left Venezuela 5 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Kisumu. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in October.
I was a mechanic in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Kisumu Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $900 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $380
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $260
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $120
• Language classes and bus passes: $75
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $65
Glad we found this place.

Hope things get better soon, Ochieng. Hope you get there
wishing you the best, Ochieng. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
