The Baobab community hall needs a skate park - Ahmad's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Jakarta Barat are raising $550 for a skate park at the Baobab community hall.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 415 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $470
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
Updates from Ahmad
Good news. Because of your gifts ($579 in total) the plan for permits and inspections is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Wanted to say thank you properly. 91% funded and the plan for safety equipment and signage is now scheduled.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($423 in total) we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
