The Bakr family fled Iraq - help them rebuild in Girona
Help a family of 6 start their new life in Girona: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Iraq 10 months ago after the conflict closed our school and clinic. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Girona. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was an electrician in Iraq, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,300
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $460
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $270
• Language classes and bus passes: $420
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $200
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Best of luck, Diego. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Bonny.
Sending strength, Diego. This could happen to any of us.
Take care, Diego. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Girona.
