Tâm's final semester of a law degree in Sydney
Tâm is one term away from finishing a law degree but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $5,600.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a law degree at Sydney State College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a tutor to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $5,600.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $5,600 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,550
• Final term tuition: $2,600
• Exam and lab fees: $260
• Textbooks and materials: $190
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Sydney.
Stay strong, Tâm. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Sydney.
