Surgery fund for Tammy: emergency hernia repair in Mississauga
After a benign brain tumor, Tammy was cleared for emergency hernia repair, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Tammy was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in August. The surgeon at Mississauga Regional Medical Center recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $12,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $6,050 short.
my mother has been in and out of Mississauga Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $12,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tammy struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Tammy won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
