Étienne was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in October. The surgeon at Paris Orthopedic Institute recommended emergency hernia repair, and He is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,000, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $4,500 short.
