Surgery fund for Clara: laparoscopic cyst removal in Southampton
A scheduled laparoscopic cyst removal in May is out of reach without help covering $4,650 of the cost.

In February I was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc. My surgeon at Southampton Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for May. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $7,750, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $4,650 short.
Doctors at Southampton Community Hospital told me a herniated spinal disc will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. I work as a school bus driver, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $7,750 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a school bus driver have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 12 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $4,650 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,450
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $1,400
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $440
• Post-operative medication: $310
• Physiotherapy sessions: $550
• Travel and lodging for the family: $500
Thank you so much.

Wishing you peace, Clara. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Southampton!
Take care, Clara. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Syracuse.
hope it all works out, Clara. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Greetings from Thủ Đức.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Dhaka but we're thinking of you. Love from Dhaka.
