Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Larissa's family in Feira de Santana
A car accident left Larissa short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.
🇧🇷 Feira de Santana, Bahia, Brazil1,013 views
When the bakery closed in July, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $350.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $350 goes:
• Utilities in arrears: $40
• First month of rent as a buffer: $195
• Late fees and court costs: $115
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Sending strength, Larissa. This could happen to any of us. After 29 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Peoria!
Sending love. I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Leipzig this morning. Take care.
Stay strong, Larissa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't give up.
