Stop the eviction: 2 months of rent for Muhammad's family in Lahore
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Muhammad needs $300 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Lahore.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Friday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $300.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $300 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $250
• Utilities in arrears: $30
• Late fees and court costs: $20
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Muhammad
Rent arrears (2 months) is $250 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Fair thing to want to know.
you're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Lahore
