Stop the eviction: 2 months of rent for Asher's family in San Diego
A 10-day notice to quit arrived last week. Asher needs $4,800 to clear the arrears and stay housed in San Diego.

When my hours were cut in half in March, Asher fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $4,800.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, the family must leave.
There are 1 children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Asher has started working two part-time jobs, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $4,800 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $3,650
• Late fees and court costs: $300
• Utilities in arrears: $230
• First month of rent as a buffer: $620
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Wishing you the best, Raymond. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together.
Thinking of you. Hope you get there. We're a small family in Tuxtla Gutiérrez but we're thinking of you.
Keep going, Raymond. Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings
Hope it all works out, Raymond. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care.
