Start-up fund for Vinayak: reopening a barbershop after a fire in the building
Vinayak has run a barbershop for twelve years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $350 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a barbershop in Thane. In July, a fire in the building took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $45
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $230
• Initial stock: supplies: $75
With deep gratitude,
Vinayak

Hang in there. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care!
