Start-up fund for Vani: reopening a roadside café after floodwater
Vani lost an espresso machine and grinder to floodwater and needs $3,900 to reopen a roadside café and support the family.

For four years I have run a roadside café in Sydney. In July, floodwater took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,900 goes:
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $470
• Working capital for the first month: $690
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $2,740
If you're reading this, thank you.

Hang in there, Vani. Shared it with a few friends. Love from Epe.
Best of luck. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Narayanganj this morning.
Sending strength, Vani. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up.
