Start-up fund for Thierry: reopening a street-food cart after a storm that collapsed the roof
Thierry has run a street-food cart for three years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $2,750 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a street-food cart in Nîmes. In April, a storm that collapsed the roof took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $650
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $1,550
• Shop repairs and licensing: $550
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Good luck, Thierry. Hope the shop reopens soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Thinking of you and your family. Shared this with my family. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Nîmes.
