Start-up fund for Noriko: reopening a street-food cart after the demolition of the market
Noriko lost a gas stove and two refrigerators to the demolition of the market and needs $2,550 to reopen a street-food cart and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a street-food cart in Tokyo. In August, the demolition of the market took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $1,550
• Initial stock: ingredients: $250
• Shop repairs and licensing: $260
• Working capital for the first month: $490
Thank you for reading my story.

Hope it all works out, Noriko. Looking forward to the next update.
Sending strength, Noriko. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless
Thinking of you. Hope the shop reopens soon. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Tokyo.
