Start-up fund for Niamh: reopening a small grocery stall after the demolition of the market
A small grocery stall in Kilkenny needs help replacing a cold-storage unit after the demolition of the market.

For twelve years I have run a small grocery stall in Kilkenny. In October, the demolition of the market took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $730
• Working capital for the first month: $340
• Shop repairs and licensing: $530
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Wishing you peace. Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless
keep going, Niamh. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Niamh.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. initial stock: fresh produce is the biggest at $730. I'll keep the page updated.
best of luck, Niamh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
Hang in there. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.
Wishing you the best. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Setagaya but we're thinking of you. Take care!
