Start-up fund for Lucas: reopening a barbershop after the demolition of the market
A barbershop in Juiz de Fora needs help replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors after the demolition of the market.
🇧🇷 Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil1,398 views
For fifteen years I have run a barbershop in Juiz de Fora. In August, the demolition of the market took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $800 goes:
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $450
• Shop repairs and licensing: $150
• Working capital for the first month: $200
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope it all works out, Lucas. Looking forward to the next update. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings.
Stay strong, Lucas. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings
