Start-up fund for Lovely: reopening a bicycle repair shop after a long illness and repossession
A bicycle repair shop in Caloocan needs help replacing a full set of tools after a long illness and repossession.
🇵🇭 Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines970 views
For twelve years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Caloocan. In July, a long illness and repossession took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $50
• Initial stock: spare parts: $120
• Replacing a full set of tools: $180
If you're reading this, thank you.

Thank you all. We're at 61% now ($213). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward initial stock: spare parts.

Rooting for you, Lovely. This could happen to any of us.
Good luck, Lovely. Small businesses are the heart of Caloocan. Hope you're open again soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
Sending good thoughts, Lovely. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Mbale
