Start-up fund for Leonardo: reopening a neighborhood bakery after a storm that collapsed the roof
Leonardo has run a neighborhood bakery for fifteen years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $2,350 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a neighborhood bakery in London. In April, a storm that collapsed the roof took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $1,050
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $510
• Shop repairs and licensing: $240
• Working capital for the first month: $550
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Thanks for sharing this, Leonardo. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
