Start-up fund for Krishnan: reopening a barbershop after a storm that collapsed the roof
Krishnan has run a barbershop for four years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $500 will put it back on its feet.

For four years I have run a barbershop in Chennai. In July, a storm that collapsed the roof took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $300
• Initial stock: supplies: $105
• Shop repairs and licensing: $35
• Working capital for the first month: $60
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
Wishing you peace, Krishnan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
Good luck, Krishnan. Hope you get there. It's not much but it's yours.
