Start-up fund for Ketki: reopening a bicycle repair shop after a storm that collapsed the roof
Ketki has run a bicycle repair shop for three years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $400 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Kochi. In July, a storm that collapsed the roof took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $200
• Initial stock: spare parts: $60
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
• Working capital for the first month: $65
With deep gratitude,
Ketki
Updates from Ketki
Good news. Because of your gifts ($77 in total) I made the first payment toward initial stock: spare parts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
