Start-up fund for Isla: reopening a phone repair counter after a break-in
Isla has run a phone repair counter for three years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $3,200 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a phone repair counter in Akron. In April, a break-in took a soldering station and testing tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Replacing a soldering station and testing tools: $1,350
• Initial stock: replacement parts: $660
• Shop repairs and licensing: $440
• Working capital for the first month: $750
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
