Start-up fund for Imran: reopening a bicycle repair shop after a long illness and repossession
Imran lost a full set of tools to a long illness and repossession and needs $150 to reopen a bicycle repair shop and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Narayanganj. In August, a long illness and repossession took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $150 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $65
• Working capital for the first month: $35
• Initial stock: spare parts: $50
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

any update on how things are going in Narayanganj?
Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Imran
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. shop repairs and licensing is the biggest at $65. I'll keep the page updated.
thinking of you, Imran. Hope you make a strong comeback. All the best.
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Narayanganj
Good luck, Imran. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
sending good thoughts. Your post was clear and honest. After 23 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Gujranwala.
Hope it all works out. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
