Start-up fund for Faith: reopening a fish stall after a long illness and repossession
Faith lost a freezer and scales to a long illness and repossession and needs $250 to reopen a fish stall and support the family.
🇵🇭 Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines1,016 views
For three years I have run a fish stall in Caloocan. In August, a long illness and repossession took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $250 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $125
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60
• Initial stock: the first catch: $65
With deep gratitude,
Faith

So sorry you're going through this. Hope the shop reopens soon. Sent it to 22 people at work.
keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Caloocan.
So sorry you're going through this, Faith. Hope this works out for you. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.
