Start-up fund for Edilene: reopening a neighborhood bakery after the demolition of the market
A neighborhood bakery in Belo Horizonte needs help replacing a commercial oven after the demolition of the market.

For four years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Belo Horizonte. In February, the demolition of the market took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $900 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $530
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $180
• Shop repairs and licensing: $70
• Working capital for the first month: $120
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

so sorry you're going through this. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Sending strength, Edilene. Hope the shop reopens soon. All the best.
Stay strong, Edilene. Hope the shop reopens soon. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Fort Portal.
Hope it all works out, Edilene. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Rome.
