Start-up fund for Chidi: reopening a bicycle repair shop after a break-in
A bicycle repair shop in Abuja needs help replacing a full set of tools after a break-in.
🇳🇬 Abuja, Abuja FCT, Nigeria561 views
For three years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Abuja. In March, a break-in took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $600 goes:
• Initial stock: spare parts: $90
• Replacing a full set of tools: $420
• Shop repairs and licensing: $90
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
