Bartosz has run a barbershop for four years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $650 will put it back on its feet.

Kraków
For four years I have run a barbershop in Kraków. In July, floodwater took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $650 goes: • Working capital for the first month: $280 • Shop repairs and licensing: $250 • Initial stock: supplies: $120 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Bartosz

  1. Update from Kraków: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 22% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Quick update: $70 raised so far (11%). the first invoice got paid this week. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($20 in total) I made the first payment toward shop repairs and licensing. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
