Ximena was diagnosed with kidney cancer in March. The oncology team at Miami Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Ximena is 46, worked as a construction supervisor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Miami Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,500
• Scans and lab work: $1,650
• Transport to Miami Regional Medical Center: $1,050
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $500
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,600

Keep going, Jaxon. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
