Violet was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at Columbus Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Violet is 54, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Columbus Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,250
• Transport to Columbus Regional Medical Center: $490
• Scans and lab work: $1,700
• Household costs while unable to work: $960
