Vinícius is facing stage 3 ovarian cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Vinícius was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in July. The oncology team at the Juazeiro do Norte Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Vinícius is 35, worked as a nurse until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Juazeiro do Norte Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $145
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,645
