Standing with Rubén: kidney cancer treatment costs

Rubén was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May. The oncology team at San Diego Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Rubén is 54, worked as a farmer until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Diego Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
