Romane was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in January. The oncology team at the Boulogne-Billancourt Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Romane is 28, worked as a farmer until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Boulogne-Billancourt Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $6,900 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,600 • Transport to the Boulogne-Billancourt Oncology Institute: $410 • Scans and lab work: $1,450 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $440 I hope life is good to you.
