Pooja was diagnosed with kidney cancer in November. The oncology team at London Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Pooja is 39, worked as a primary school teacher until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to London Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,350 goes: • Scans and lab work: $1,350 • Transport to London Cancer Centre: $560 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,500 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,940 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
