Otávio was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in July. The oncology team at Santos University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Otávio is 39, worked as a nurse until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Santos University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
