Nicolás was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at the Eugene Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Nicolás is 54, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Eugene Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $9,050 goes: • Scans and lab work: $1,050 • Transport to the Eugene Oncology Institute: $1,050 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,750 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,200 Ask me anything below before you decide.
