Standing with Metin: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs
Metin is facing stage 2 breast cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Metin was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in March. The oncology team at Bursa Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Metin is 55, worked as a bank teller until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bursa Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,300
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Household costs while unable to work: $660

hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Metin.
It's all in the list in the story. chemotherapy and medication not covered is the big one at $1,300, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Fair thing to want to know.
