Mannheim
Melanie was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at Mannheim Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Melanie is 56, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mannheim Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $9,100 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,750 • Transport to Mannheim Regional Medical Center: $660 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $690 I hope life is good to you. - Jonas
