Standing with Meena: colon cancer treatment costs
Supporting Meena through colon cancer: medication, transport to Birmingham Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom854 views
Meena was diagnosed with colon cancer in March. The oncology team at Birmingham Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Meena is 27, worked as a bus conductor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Birmingham Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $6,750 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,600
• Scans and lab work: $1,400
• Transport to Birmingham Regional Medical Center: $480
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $410
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,860
Thank you so much.
- Yash
