Standing with Manoel: non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs

Manoel was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in November. The oncology team at São Paulo Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in January. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Manoel is 31, worked as a taxi driver until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to São Paulo Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,250
• Scans and lab work: $250
• Transport to São Paulo Cancer Centre: $135
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $125
• Household costs while unable to work: $640
