Standing with Joshua: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs
Joshua is facing stage 2 breast cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Joshua was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in May. The oncology team at Townsville University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Joshua is 31, worked as a bus conductor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Townsville University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,900 goes:
• Transport to Townsville University Hospital: $480
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,150
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,270
