Standing with Ji-ho: cervical cancer treatment costs
Ji-ho is facing cervical cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In May I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. My oncology team at the Seoul Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in August. I was told to expect about 7 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 41, I worked as a taxi driver until May, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Seoul Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $4,950 goes:
• Transport to the Seoul Oncology Institute: $800
• Scans and lab work: $690
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,460

how is Ji-ho doing now?
So sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Seoul!
