Ishita was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in August. The oncology team at Mumbai Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Ishita is 39, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mumbai Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
