Standing with Gifty: cervical cancer treatment costs

Gifty was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at Accra Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Gifty is 32, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Accra Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $790
• Transport to Accra Regional Medical Center: $135
• Household costs while unable to work: $275
