Standing with Francisco: colon cancer treatment costs

Francisco was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at Caxias do Sul Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Francisco is 55, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Caxias do Sul Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
