Brooks was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in December. The oncology team at the Rochester Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in March. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Brooks is 57, worked as a farmer until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Rochester Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $7,150 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $2,350 • Scans and lab work: $1,650 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,150 Thank you so much.
