Anwar was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at Cairo Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Anwar is 32, worked as a tailor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Cairo Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,200 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $720 • Household costs while unable to work: $280 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $105 • Transport to Cairo Regional Medical Center: $95 With deep gratitude, Huda

Updates from Huda

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 11% funded and the plan for household costs while unable to work is now scheduled.

  2. 10% there. I made the first payment toward transport to Cairo Regional Medical Center. Thank you.
