Alexander was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in December. The oncology team at Newport Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Alexander is 29, worked as a bank teller until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Newport Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $6,000 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,450 • Scans and lab work: $740 • Transport to Newport Cancer Centre: $670 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $590 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,550 Ask me anything below before you decide.
